Airport Transfers Bangkok to Pattaya - Pattaya to Bangkok Bus
Suvarnabhumi Airport
The cheapest way to get to Pattaya is by the airport bus, number 389, for 130 Baht a seat. The buses are air conditioned, comfortable and have a good safety record. The bus leaves Suvarnabhumi Airport from level 1, gate 8, on the hour every hour between 7am and 10pm and takes around 2 hours to get to Pattaya. Tickets can be purchased at the counter at the airport. There are three drop off points in the city - North Pattaya, South Pattaya and Thappraya Road (except for the 9pm and 10pm departures from the airport which terminate at the North Pattaya stop).
For the return journey to the airport the bus leaves every hour on the hour from the main terminal at Thappraya Road between 6.30am and 10pm and arrives at Suvarnabhumi Airport Departure Terminal, Level 4. Again the journey takes around 2 hours, however if the traffic is busy then this could take longer so it is advisable to leave plenty of time for your journey.
Tickets
can be purchased from the main office at Thappraya Road (where the
buses depart). There are no other pick-up points in Pattaya on this
journey, however the departure terminal is easy to get to from Pattaya
and Jomtien, being on the main Baht Bus route between the two, it is
easy to jump on the Baht Bus to take you here.
There are some baggage restrictions, such as only one 20kg suitcase is accepted, with small charges for overweight and extra bags, so it is best to check these restrictions out before you plan your journey at https://airportpattayabus.com/V2/airport-to-pattaya/
There
is another bus service - the Bell Bus, from Suvarnabhumi Airport to
Pattaya, which costs 250 Thb each way, but this includes pick up or drop
off to your hotel/apartment in a minivan from the terminal in North
Pattaya. From Suvarnabhumi Airport this bus runs every two hours
between 9am and 7pm from level 1, gate 7, and from Pattaya it runs from
6am, then every two hours between 9am and 7pm - with pick up by minivan
being aroud 40 minutes before departure from the terminal in North
Pattaya. Again there is a small fee for extra/overweight luggage.
To purchase tickets with Bell Traval, you can either do this online at www.belltravelservice.com, or from their tickets counters at their office in Bangkok (on Bangna-Trad Road km 4) or Pattaya (on North Pattaya Road inside the Pattaya Bus Terminal). If planning to use this service from the airport it is recommended that you purchase tickets online in advance.
Don Mueang Airport
If you need to get to Don Mueang Airport there is a free transfer bus between Suvarnabhumi Airport and Don Mueang Airport in Bangkok, leaving from level 2 gate 3 of Suvarnabhumi Airport and from gate 5 at Don Mueang Airport. These transfers run between 5am and midnight, with one or two departures an hour (depending on the time of day), and will take around an hour depending on the traffic.
Private Transfers
There are many companies offering private transfers in minibuses and taxis between Pattaya and Bangkok airports that can be pre-booked, or you can pick up a taxi from the airport. Taxis can be found on level 1 at arrivals and should cost around 1,200 Thb to Pattaya (including tolls) for a standard taxi for two people - make sure you agree a fare before you accept and if the price seems too high then haggle!
Out of the many options of pre-booked private transfers here are a few options:
Mr T Pattaya Taxi Service - Mr. T charges 1,100 Baht each way (for a standard taxi for 1-3 people), which includes all tolls. In our experience Mr. T has always been reliable, with clean, new cars and friendly drivers. The driver will wait near door 3 at Arrivals for you with a placard with your name on, and even if it takes an extraordinarily long time for you to get through immigration (which it often can due to the long queues), your driver will still be there waiting for you with a smile (they are used to the long waits at the airport!). It is a good idea to provide Mr T with your mobile number though as the driver may want to just give you a quick call to see where you are in the queue to estimate how long you will be. When emailing Mr. T for a reservation just ask for confirmation of your booking and the cost, making sure you let them know how many people are travelling so that they can send the appropriate vehicle. You can make a booking online at https://mrttaxipty.com/ or by email: mr_ttaxi@hotmail.com. You can also make a reservation by phone by calling: +66812587716 or +66984983484.
Cherry Taxi Service - starting at 1,100 Baht each way for 1-3 people, Cherry Taxi Service offers a range of vehicle sizes for your convenience. You can book online at their website: https://www.cherrytaxiservice.com/
Pattaya Express Taxi - offer a fleet of comfortable vehicles of various sizes, starting from 900 - 1,200 Thb a journey. You can book online at their website: https://www.pattaya-express.com/
